Thomas Newman (c1630-1713)
Thomas first married Mary Longelee, 6 July 1665 in Shipley. They had a son, John (1667), and possibly also a daughter, Mary (1666), both of whom died in infancy. Mary was buried 26 July 1667 in Shipley.
Mary Hunt (1630-1705)
Mary was probably baptised 11 April 1630 in Billingshurst, Sussex, the daughter of Richard Hunt and Elizabeth Edes.
They were married on 5 December 1667 in Shipley, Sussex. Thomas was buried 24 June 1713 in Shipley. Mary was buried on 21 June 1705 in Shipley. They had two known children, both baptised in Shipley:

Baptised 25 March 1673 in Shipley, a husbandman.
Timothy Fivens (???? - 1766)
Baptised 2 December 1674 in Warminghurst, the daughter of Thomas Fivens and Mary Mills.
They were married 9 July 1696 in Shipley. John died in Shipley aged 70 years on 5 September 1743. Timothy died in Shipley aged 91 years on 31 March 1766. Their chlidren were all baptised in Shipley.
John Newman Born about 1697. Married Sarah Webb of Sullington about 1733. Their children were: James, Nathanial (1740) and Mary (1742/3). Sarah was buried on 27 March 1742/3 in Shipley. Could be next (more likely)
William Newman Baptised 7 September 1699. Married Mary Hills 4 June 1730 in Shipley. Their children: John (1733) and William (1736).
Bettie Newman Baptised 30 July 1703. Married John Francis 23 May 1725 in Shipley. Their children: Sarah (1727), John (1730), William (1737) and Bettie.

Mary Streater (1719 - 1784)
Baptised on 3 February 1719 in Shipley, the daughter of Roger Streeter and Elizabeth.
They were married at Shipley, 27 October 1747. The children were all baptised at Shipley. John may have been buried on 24 January 1763 in Shipley, at which time the burial register recorded that he was a wheelwright, or on 21 March 1766 also in Shipley. Mary was buried on 23 March 1784 in Shipley.
James Newman Streater b. 17 August. The baptism register only recorded his mother's name and that he was baseborn.
Mary Newman b. 31 July 1748. Married Richard Laker 27th April 1767 in Shipley. Their children were: Sarah (1768), Richard (1771), William (1779), Elizabeth (1782), John (1785), Edward (1788) and Hannah (1891). Richard was buried 20 January 1818 in Shipley. Mary was buried 23 October 1830 in Shipley.
Richard Newman b. 31 Aug. 1750. Married Sarah Philpott 2 November 1775 in Shipley. Their children were: William (1776), Ann (1779), Hannah (1780), Elizabeth (1783), John (1784), Sarah (1787) and Edward (1789). Richard died aged 93 years and was buried 10 August 1843.

Jude Newman b. 17 Feb. 1754. Married James Goacher 22 February 1778 in Itchingfield, Sussex. One known son, James (1779).
